Alexandra LaManna


Alexandra is a senior communications and public affairs expert with significant experience operating at the highest levels of politics, government, and the private sector.

Alexandra served as White House Spokesperson and Assistant Press Secretary focusing on reproductive rights in the Biden Administration. Her portfolio in the White House also included the economy, economic policy, and technology and crypto regulations.

Alexandra also was the senior spokesperson for Secretary Janet L. Yellen and the U.S. Department of the Treasury as a Day One political appointee in the Biden Administration. In addition to driving communications strategy for U.S. fiscal policy, Alexandra was charged with defining Secretary Yellen’s legacy as the first woman Treasury Secretary in history.

Prior to her time at Treasury, Alexandra was part of the Biden-Harris Transition, working to secure Senate confirmation of Cabinet nominees.

Alexandra joined the Administration from Lyft where she led the corporate communications team overseeing strategic, executive, financial, and crisis communications. Alexandra is often quoted in the media as an expert, including in the New York Times, NPR Morning Edition, Politico, Bloomberg, Time, Forbes, Fox News, and The Hill. She lives in New York City and is a graduate of Northwestern University.
